Kidnap and Kink (Taboo Wishes) Review

Kidnap and Kink is the second story I've read in Paulin's Taboo Wishes series (preceded by 'Punished'). The story flows nicely, and details Rob and Jenna's history (in my opinion, they have a history) and relationship over the course of a weekend. At times those details are VERY explicit and very very hot. I thought the end was amusing and very fitting, considering the two main characters.

What bothered me, aside from the annoying typos, was when some details were omitted - such as the lack of addressing safe sex. Obviously, this is a fantasy story and it's all make-believe. But the guy runs a sex service! Hello!!!! Unfortunately I also kept comparing this series to other kidnap/bdsm stories. Three stories in particular published by E.C. were distractingly similar to this story (kidnapping, spanking, alternative sex services, being whisked off to a beach/lake house, etc). I would have really liked this story more if it had been stronger, if it wasn't so similar to all the other kidnap/bdsm stories out there - maybe better writing, better editing would do the trick. For any writers out there reading this review, seriously - that's important to us readers!!!
